The British Comedy Guide reports Red Dwarf returning to television with new three-episode special. It seems there’s a 3×30 minute special happening, with no clear indication where it will be shown. It’s due in 2025.
Filming starts in October 2024, with Craig Charles, Chris Barrie, Danny John-Jules and Robert Llewellyn all returning. The article goes on to cover the acrimonious rift between co-creators Rob Grant and Dough Naylor. The series has seen several returns — I have to confess to while being a big fan of the show on the BBC, I’ve not kept up with any of the content produced in the past 20 years.
There’s also mention of a prequel show with young Rimmer (Barrie) and Lister (Charles) being developed by Rob Grant. Recent shows have only involved Naylor.
