Only Murders in the Building tops Disney’s huge Emmy nomination list

The latest Emmy nominations are out, and Disney is rightly proud of its 147 nominations for Primetime (which seems to includes streaming). Of the shows I watch, Only Murders in the Building tops the list (for Disney) with 17 nominations. Note there’s a calendar effect at play, so some shows you might expect don’t qualify (such as The Boys). Others shows getting a mention (and … Continue reading Only Murders in the Building tops Disney’s huge Emmy nomination list

Moon Knight and Hawkeye

Moon Knight and Hawkeye both to be single season?

According to analysis from Cancelled SciFi, it seems likely both Moon Knight and Hawkeye are to be one-off single season mini-series. I think their analysis makes sense, and like them wish for more Hawkeye — I’m still struggling to get into the latest MCU Egyptian god series. It’s not official, and renewals are sometimes a mystery, but it seems the MCU TV outings are littered … Continue reading Moon Knight and Hawkeye both to be single season?

Here’s a look at the 5-day … Continue reading Moon Knight — data suggests a positive start in the US

Some spoilers for season 1 follow. First off, I do know this season acted as a springboard for the character of Echo, aka Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), who gets … Continue reading What next for Hawkeye on Disney+?

Hawkeye season 1 review

I just finished Hawkeye season 1. If you read my first episode review, you’ll know I was intrigued. After finishing the season, I’ve moved from impressed to wondering if this is even better than WandaVision. I liked it and am very much intrigued to see how various stories continue. A level of spoiler follows. Hawkeye season 1 I may have mentioned, but Hawkeye (aka Ronin) … Continue reading Hawkeye season 1 review

Hawkeye 1:1 Never Meet Your Heroes — first thoughts

I’m interspersing my big Bones watch with few shows recently arrived. Hawkeye arrived on Disney+ two weeks ago, so I thought I’d give it a go. I enjoyed WandaVision and Loki, gave up on Falcon and the Winter Soldier and while I’ve seen most of the MCU films, I’m only really a casual fan. Hawkeye is one of many characters I didn’t really understand from … Continue reading Hawkeye 1:1 Never Meet Your Heroes — first thoughts
