Over on the official Star Trek website is a fascinating article all about the appearance of Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine in Star Trek: Picard (back for season 2 next month). My own view is Star Trek: Picard was a little austere, and the arrival of 7of9 added a lot of interest to the show (and I’d welcome a 7of9 spin-off series). As to the article, it’s a great study of character and full of the sort of analysis I’d like to have written (and will be borrowing at some point).
